Itinerary
Doi Inthanon, at 2,565 m (8,500 ft) above sea level, is the highest mountain in Thailand, located about 100 km southwest of Chiang Mai. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Northern Thailand. Our tour departs for the park in the morning, starting with driving all the way up to the summit, where you can say that you are on the highest spot of Thailand. Then, go minimal trekking through the rain forest to see some native plants and birds. Proceed visiting pagodas of the King and the Queen built by royal Thai air force to commemorate their 60th birthdays. At the pagodas you will admire beautiful scenery of the mountains in the park from the viewpoints there. After a lunch stop at the national park HQ, we then visit Hmong market to see local produce and hill tribe handicraft. Our tour continues with visits to Siritharn Waterfall and Wachiratharn Waterfall before returning to Chiang Mai.
